So I am decorating for Thanksgiving this year. Here is one of the projects I have planned. You know how it is with plans... haha... but this one I actually accomplished. There are at least two more projects to complete. Wish me luck. I bought these letters at the craft store. They were plain papier-mâché letters that I covered with patterned paper. I cut the leaves from the same paper using a template. The paper is double-sided cardstock paper from K & Company. The leaves got ruffled and inked a bit to make them look real. Well, as real as a patterned paper leaf gets. The acorns are the pièce de résistance, though! The meaty part is cut from rusty metal mesh. The hat part is cut from a piece of gold embossed paper. They are really cool.

thank you page 1
the embellishment on the far left corner was made by painting on gesso over duck fabric. then after that was dry I adheared the fabric to a piece of cardstock and printed right through my printer. made a very cool fabric embellishment. This page is up for sale in my etsy store at www.whitebirdscrapper.etsy.com

Inspired by Emily's journal , I made a "gratitude journal/calendar". 52 pages, 1 per week, each with 7 spots to document what I am thankful for each day. I have a big year coming up (back surgery in two days) and a hip replacement 6 weeks later. I think I will want to remember the little good things for the next year! Blogged and more pics.

Our Thanksgiving Book
We got sent a thanksgiving parcel by our friends in Michigan George and Nigel and Gund and Auntie A2 and The Hand and it had this lovely scrapbook in it so we decided to make it into something nice. We are happy to be brothers
