sunrise in Birmingham, AL

We rode the car around the circuit for about an hour watching for flaws, kinks, loose spots, electrical troubles--anything that would cause problems later. The sun was just coming up over the trees in Avondale. This was the day the hurricane hit Texas, I think.

Mohandeseen at 6

Also taken from the undisclosed location where views of Cairo are breathtaking (not the Citadel), this is a shot looking towards Mohandeseen just after sunrise. I don't know how many miles are visible in this photo, but I'm sure so much more of the Cairo would have been visible if it were not for the thick smog in the horizon. But doesn't the yellow light hitting the north sides of these buildings look yummy? ---------- blog: modenadude.com
