What do I do when I meet the man of my dreams? Run away to the other side of the world of course. What on earth was I thinking?! This page has photocopied images from old Time Life encyclopaedias, my passport and an overlay on velum.

Adam: age 27: computer programmer

A retrospective page about Adam, as I remember him in the first year of our relationship. Musician, closet intellectual, geek. The keyboard is created out of torn strips of watercolour paper and Basic Grey. This page has bits hanging over the edge. The type has been shadowed with an ink pen to give it more depth.

Inspired by Emily's journal , I made a "gratitude journal/calendar". 52 pages, 1 per week, each with 7 spots to document what I am thankful for each day. I have a big year coming up (back surgery in two days) and a hip replacement 6 weeks later. I think I will want to remember the little good things for the next year! Blogged and more pics.

I really like this dark red. A little dull, perhaps, juxtaposed with the photos (which I felt limited me to more "elegant" font styles)

Title page; the photo book has a small window on the front cover so that's where Oriana's picture shows through. I made a second attempt with a bigger black window, but didn't like it as much. The bokeh/blur around the pic is a cropped and enlarged part of the small photo's right side.

I like that swirly block font. It's called "Nasty." Haha. I also like the more austere one; it's called Trajan Pro, I think.
