My Journal
My journal, picture taken on a one-hour ferry ride from San Francisco to Vallejo. (fare: 10 dollars.) Notes from these pages: "There were plenty of events in my external life, but I cannot - at least at present - find a narrative there. The real story was unfolding, at first imperceptibly and by slow degrees, within my self." "The great myths show that when you follow somebody else's path, you go astray. The hero has to set off by himself, leaving the old world and the old ways behind..." "Light." - controversial National Endowment of the Arts award-winning one-word poem by Aram Saroyan "... suffering gives rise to ignorance; ignorance gives rise to contact; contact gives rise to feelings; feeling gives rise to craving; craving gives rise to attachments; attachment gives rise to becoming; becoming gives rise to birth; birth gives rise to suffering..." - part of Buddhist chant I recited everyday in a Buddhist monastery (I took the picture

Christmas book 2007 - Dec. 1st + 2nd
These are the first two pages of my homemade Christmas book 2007. About Dec. 1st I wrote about what happened with my biological father (see www.flickr.com/photos/desiitaly/2077115517/ and about Dec. 2nd I wrote about the visit to the Country Life fair in Modena with my mother (see www.flickr.com/photos/desiitaly/2082312690/ ). I can't wait to go on. Sorry if the shot is a bit blurry and dark.

My First Ript Page
I think I love this new scrapbook program. It's pretty simple but it's for windows only (and you have to download a bunch of windows crap to do it. Ugh).

February 2008
This is my LO for the 9th week of the 2008 Scrap Challenge, scrappers have to prepare a page of a recap about what happened during February 2008. I chose three of my last photos because they're the most important ones for the past month. In the journaling I wrote "The month of February 2008 marked some important steps for my life. I met Patrizio Roversi at the railway station of Bologna and I won my shyness, taking a photo with him. I started to cooperate with the online magazine called Telegiornaliste.com. I started again my penpalling via mails". I used a lot of stuffs (unused scraps, glittered gel, buttons, cardstock) to decorate my page, I'm not very used to it, but this time I wanted to give a sense of excitement which I felt during the last weeks of February 2008. You can find all the details about the challenge in my new blog for scrapbooking (in English) at Juicy Creations , comments and suggestions are alwa

Novi Ligure - future life
This is my LO for the 25th week of the 2008 Scrap Challenge (after several weeks of inactivity, due to this busy period), scrappers had to prepare an A4 page including also flowers. I chosed to print a photo which I took some weeks ago in my future city, Novi Ligure (province of Alessandria, Piedmont, Italy). The title is obviously dedicated to its name. In the journaling, I wrote: "June 2008 - Soon the much waited future will become reality, I wait for knowing my new city =)". The photo shows the Church of the Collegiata of Santa Maria Maggiore downtown (shown better here ). I used several little printed flowers, plus a printed button, a printed butterfly, a printed curly bracket, a printed little star, a printed sun, two printed corners with buttons. I also used two heart-shaped brads by Artoz, a pink wavy ribbon by Madéko, seven metallic stars, a scrap of a letter,

Benjamin Franklin Bridge at Sunrise - Philadelphia
A bridge can be a symbol for many things but I see it as a symbol of transition, a crossing from one way of life to another. That’s probably why I started the three photo albums / scrapbooks for my kids documenting their way into the world with bridges (see below). This picture shows the Benjamin Franklin Bridge at sunrise as seen out of our hotel room window. As I described in my last post the Ben Franklin Bridge is a suspension bridge across the Delaware River connecting Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Camden, New Jersey. At its completion in 1926 its 533-metre span made it the world’s largest suspension bridge span. Have a great weekend, everyone!

L♥ve c♥mes in a tricky way....
sometimes we think that we are in love, not knowing we are just friends... but sometimes, we stick too much to friendship that we forget that we are really in love....
