Journal - Italy (Dream)
"Thursday. October. Night. A DREAM: Still dark...No home no country no where... (IN THE DREAM) i am in a boarding house somewhere. i am alone though people are scattered in beds around the room. A woman. She undresses in front of me. The space between us stretching out like a vast chasm...last cigarettes burn in the dark. Her eyes catch mine for a moment. The room becomes a cathedral of lonliness and longing... i wake I don't remember where i am. When was it when i began not to remember? I am still a nomad... yet waking No Home. No Country. My Journal
My journal, picture taken on a one-hour ferry ride from San Francisco to Vallejo. (fare: 10 dollars.) Notes from these pages: "There were plenty of events in my external life, but I cannot - at least at present - find a narrative there. Inspired by Emily's journal , I made a "gratitude journal/calendar". 52 pages, 1 per week, each with 7 spots to document what I am thankful for each day. I have a big year coming up (back surgery in two days) and a hip replacement 6 weeks later. I think I will want to remember the little good things for the next year! Blogged and more pics.
