one of the four projects I am teaching at Version Scrap in Paris, France the first weekend of April, 2008. This is a mixed media class focusing on using 90% recycled materials to create an art journal. We're using a re-purposed, old book for the covers (and collage collateral), used envelopes, cereal boxes, used office supplies, catalog covers...and just about anything else I could cut to size and smear with a coat of gesso for the journal pages. Almost all of the kit materials for the covers are left-overs from previous classes I've taught...so they're actually being "re-cycled" as well! A really fun one, and I can't wait to see how different everyone's journals will end up! Sponsored by Hambly Studios & Bazzill Basics Paper.
